What should I say more anything other than that these pasta recipes actually changed my life and hopefully the lives of the people who have been watching & taking notes? This series is the most popular series on my page and rightfully so. I understand the struggles of cooking while starving, and you want to make meals that require you to use your mind and body the least. Luckily, I don’t have to use my mind all the time to think of such recipes. I got some help this time from @_extrovertedturtle_ on Instagram. This recipe reminded me of something that I made a year back on my page (One Mac n Cheese). I would highly recommend that you check that recipe. It’s just as convenient for different reasons. Anyways, here’s the world’s fastest Mac n Cheese!
Ingredients
- 50 gms of Macaroni pasta
- 2 tsps of Oil
- 1 tsp of Butter
- 4-5 cloves of chopped Garlic
- 1 tsp of Dried mixed herbs
- 1/2 tsp of Paprika
- 1/2 tsp of Chilli flakes
- 1/2 cup of Milk
- 2 slices of Processed cheese
- Salt & Pepper to taste
- (Optional) Grated Parmesan for garnish
Procedure
- Boil the macaroni in salted boiling water for 7-8 mins. (Reserve a cup of starchy pasta water)
- In a frying pan, add oil & butter. Add the chopped garlic and saute it until it turns translucent.
- Add the herbs, paprika, and chilli flakes. Saute until aromatic.
- Add the milk and 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- Turn up the heat to high, and let the sauce boil. Keep stirring in between.
- Let the sauce reduce and thicken. Once reduced, add the cheese and mix until melted.
- Drain and add the macaroni, and stir until combined. (Keep the sauce consistency a bit loose; it’ll thicken as it cools.)
- Serve it in a bowl and garnish with black pepper, dried herbs or fresh herbs (if you have them), and optionally some Parmesan.
